Frequently asked questions

The questions we are actually asked

These are the eight questions that come up most often — from buyers abroad, from owners who cannot be here, and from people who did not know an estate agency in Beirut could handle the paperwork as well as the viewing. If yours is not here, ask us directly.

What we do

Do you only handle sales, or can you help with renting as well?

Both, and more than both. We handle buying, selling and renting — apartments, villas, shops, offices, showrooms, warehouses, industrial space and land, whether residential, commercial or agricultural.

Alongside that we handle valuation, investment advisory, property management, registration and documentation, renovation coordination and insurance. We are a full property advisory firm rather than a brokerage that hands you the keys and disappears. The services page sets out each one.

Which areas of Lebanon do you cover?

Across Beirut — Verdun, Hamra, Badaro, Ras El Nabeh, Msaytbeh, Raouche, Basta, Tarik El Jdideh, Karakol El Druze, Barbour, Cola, Zarif and more — and beyond Beirut in Keserwan, including Feytroun, the Bekaa, South Lebanon, the Chouf coast and the Greater Beirut suburbs.

You can see every neighbourhood we currently hold property in on the areas page. If the area you are looking in is not listed, it is worth asking — not everything we handle is advertised.

Buying and ownership

Do you help foreign buyers and Lebanese living abroad purchase property in Lebanon?

Yes. We advise foreign and diaspora buyers on eligibility, documentation and registration, including the limits on foreign ownership within a single building and the approvals a foreign purchase requires.

We handle the process from viewing through to registration, and we can act for a buyer who cannot travel.

Do you handle title deed transfer and property registration in Lebanon?

Yes. Title-deed transfer, registration, government paperwork and document preparation are core services, and we coordinate legal consultation where a transaction needs it.

In Lebanon this is usually where a deal is won or lost, which is why we treat it as part of the service rather than something you are left to arrange yourself.

Owning from a distance

Do you manage rental properties for owners living outside Lebanon?

Yes. Rental management, tenant and maintenance coordination and owner reporting are all handled for owners who are not in the country. Many of our management clients live abroad and deal with us entirely remotely.

Can you help prepare a property before it is sold or rented?

Yes. We coordinate renovation, home improvement, interior design support, construction management support and maintenance.

For an owner abroad, or anyone who would rather not manage trades directly, we handle the coordination and report back.

Beyond the sale

Can you arrange insurance for a property?

Yes. We offer property and casualty cover, professional liability, vehicle and health insurance.

It is a service in its own right, not only something bolted on to a purchase, so you can come to us for cover on a property you already own.

Can you help me buy or rent property outside Lebanon?

Yes. We hold international listings and we source property abroad — ready-to-move-in homes, near-delivery and off-plan developments — through vetted partner agencies and developers.

We also take requests for markets we are not already listing in. If you are looking to buy or rent in a particular country and it is not on our books, contact us and we will work to accommodate it through our partner network rather than turn you away.

We provide European residency-programme guidance through qualified specialists. We introduce clients to the right developers and advisers rather than advising on immigration ourselves. The international page has the detail.

What we will not tell you. We never present investment returns, residency eligibility, visa outcomes, legal outcomes or delivery dates as guaranteed. Cedar Keys Estates is not a law firm and not an immigration adviser: legal consultation is coordinated through qualified professionals, and international property and residency support are delivered through vetted partner agencies, which we name.
